Masterson Method Equine Specialist Instructor and Mentor
Masterson Method Certified Practitioner and Instructor, Mentor, Coach
(Brainerd, MN)

Lise Lunde plays a strong leadership role in the development of the Masterson Method Equine Specialist Training program. She discovered the benefits of giving the gift of bodywork to horses when she taught at-risk teenagers the basic principles and techniques of The Masterson Method at their residential ranch. She heard later that several students had major breakthroughs following that session. This experience inspired Lise to explore developing this new application of The Masterson Method in equine-assisted learning or therapy programs.

Lise holds many certifications, including Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, PATH Int’l Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and Equissage Sports Massage. She is also trained in Tucker Biokinetics. Lise has worked in the medical field for over 20 years as a certified adult nurse practitioner.

Lise helps people with disabilities and mental health challenges by offering both therapeutic riding lessons and facilitated bodywork sessions. She says that “practicing the Masterson Method has increased my awareness of how ‘less is more’ in many aspects of life with both horses and people.”

Becky Tenges PhotoBecky Tenges

Advanced Instructor, Masterson Method Field Work Block 3 Mentor/Coach
(Mequon, WI)

Becky’s involvement as one of the developers of and trainers for the Masterson Method Equine Therapy Specialist program is a ‘coming together’ of many aspects of her life, including personal, family, and professional. Becky grew up living on an Arabian horse farm and the daughter of a farrier. After leaving her professional career as an investment banker, Becky initially returned to horses for the therapeutic benefit they could provide to one of her daughters. Becky will be forever grateful to the wonderful horses that played a significant role in assisting her daughter to overcome the effects of some very difficult life experiences in a Russian orphanage. Roll the tape forward and some years later when her daughter was older, Becky became certified as a Masterson practitioner in order ‘return the favor’ and provide therapeutic benefit to horses.

In 2012, Becky joined the Masterson Team as an instructor, coach, mentor and clinician, bringing to participants in her clinics, her over forty years of horse experience and over twenty years of leadership, public speaking and training from her corporate and non-profit board positions. In addition to her Masterson certification, Becky holds certifications as an Equine Rehabilitation Assistant, Equine Thermographer, Equine Ergonomist to assess saddle fit and in Equine Kinesio Taping. Becky pursues a very full annual continuing education regimen relating to equine anatomy, biomechanics and other equine modalities and therapeutic bodywork practices and she has advanced training in Myofascial Release, CranioSacral, Therapeutic Red Light, and Equine Fascial Manipulation.

Becky’s focus in her own equine bodywork practice is to provide therapeutic relief to her equine clients and information and answers to their owners and trainers.  With the bodywork and diagnostic services Becky offers, she brings straightforward methodologies and a heartfelt dedication to revealing afflictions, reducing discomfort and enhancing movement & performance.
